Lilla Snåland is a three-legged stool where 14 offcuts of solid birchwood from Stolab’s Lilla Åland chair are glued together to make the seat. Lilla Snåland has received a lot of attention and been nominated for, and received, several awards. Lilla Snåland is also displayed by Sweden’s National Museum in Stockholm, in its permanent exhibition. The number of stools that are produced, entirely depend on how many Lilla Åland chairs are made. Every Lilla Åland seat results in two offcuts, and every Lilla Snåland stool seat requires 14 of these offcuts.
